Middleton Plantation.

After the petting zoo at Magnolia, we headed over to the Middleton Plantation.  Right off the bat, I have to say that Middleton was the best plantation I’ve seen.  We didn’t tour the house, but the gardens were beautiful! We started with the bamboo forest, then walked through a swamp area before getting to the formal gardens.

This tomb means business. It's practically a small house.

Hey Kat. I’m an old friend of Jon’s. I (think) I got your blog address from FB. I had to check it out when I saw the Middleton Plantation. My husband and I lived in Summerville for a bit and Middleton was one of my favorite places we saw. Love the pictures. Say hi to Jon for me.

Thanks for the birds! and the turtle. To name the birds, first the great egret, next turkey vultures, and finally a juvenile great blue heron. Beautiful places to see. Keep taking notes on your favorite places to see!
