Senior Banquet and Injections.
We had a good week. On Friday night, we went to the Senior Banquet for the graduating senior dental students. It was a fancy event. We don’t have any pictures, but we basically looked the same as we did here, for Second Chance Prom.
Side note: I thought it was a joke. Jon texted me at 2pm on Friday and told me to come home after work instead of going to the gym (because I go to the gym everyday after work, go me!). I’m thinking “Jon thinks he’s going to get me to skip the gym, come home and get ready in 30 minutes flat (fancy hair and everything), then say APRIL FOOL’s! Well, he’s got another thing coming!” I immediately texted my girl friends to see if his story was true. When I told Jon he said: I’d never be that mean. Guilt face. In my defense, he once tried to fool me that he’d gotten in a big car accident. And also, worse things happen on April Fool’s Day. (But the best thing on April 1st is Chelsey‘s birthday!”)
Anyway, the banquet is a really great way to honor the graduating class and also say goodbye. It started with cocktail hour (it was fun to catch up with all of our friends since spring break, especially for me since Jon gets to see everyone everyday in class), then we had dinner while they showed a whole program. We sat down and we had a salad in front of us, and also our dessert through the WHOLE dinner. Talk about self control! The program consisted of a slideshow of pictures, goofy teacher awards, superlatives, and class videos (the videos are funny spoofs like “Brush Hour” instead of “Rush Hour”). It all got me thinking how sad I’m going to be when we have to say goodbye to all of our friends in only two more years!!!
This last week, Jon started doing lidocaine injections! Here are some pictures. Yay for Jon!
