And it Begins.
First day of school!
Can’t even believe it! I started my Master’s program in Occupational Therapy this week. I met most of my class before school started at a little get together we organized ourselves on Monday night, and then we had school orientation this past Wednesday the 25th. I had been so nervous to meet everyone, and to just start school! I’m glad all of the initial stuff is over and we can just start adjusting to our new schedules.

So far we’ve only been taking care of paperwork and getting to know each other, but tomorrow is our first real day of class! Our big class this semester will be anatomy but we will have to juggle few small classes on the side. I’ve heard a lot of people say that this summer is the hardest, and that it is a “weeding out” semester. It’s not that anatomy by itself is that difficult to comprehend, but it’s more that we have to learn the whole body in just 10 short weeks. It will be a challenge to say the least. We will be having many lectures weekly on just this one subject. One class will be combined with the Physical Therapists and the Physician’s Assistants, one will deal with just the OT side of anatomy, and then we will have multiple anatomy labs to participate in during the week. Fun. Stuff.
Our class is all girls, and I’ve really enjoyed being with everyone so far! I can’t wait to get to know them all better, and hopefully anatomy will be over before we know it!
