Charleston Miracle League.
On Saturday Jon and I went and volunteered with the Charleston Miracle League, a baseball league for adults and children with mental and physical challenges. We had so much fun!
I ran the bases with Richard, below, because I wanted to run. He really didn’t need any of my help. He was nice to let me tag along.
Here is Brittany putting on Priscilla’s hat. Brittany is in my OT class, and she kept covering up Priscilla’s eyes when she put the hat on. Priscilla was cracking up.
This one was soooo sassy. She would bang the bat on the ground, and every time I told her good hit she’d respond “you got that right.”
Me hanging out with Kenny on first base. There was a woman that kept yelling to him from behind the fence, and he’d lean over and say “she’s crazy” every time. When I finally asked him who she was he said it was his girlfriend. haha.
Jon liked hanging out with everyone, but he liked John the best.
Aaaah, crazy hair!!
We had fun with the Charleston Miracle League! It’s such an amazing organization! I’m so glad I got to help out because not only did I have a blast, but it was also such a good reminder of why I’m studying so hard.
This week I’m studying for multiple tests and presentations! Wish me luck!
