If you can Dodge a Wrench….
Guys, this past week and 1/2 has been one of my toughest in school so far! (and I hear it only gets harder aaaah). I had midterms and a pediatric presentation due all a few days apart, and it was stressful. I took the last test of “hell-week” yesterday, and it’s weird that my next test isn’t until Halloween. My biggest test-break yet! I don’t even know what to do with myself.
So here are some pictures from a dodgeball tournament I played in last weekend. The proceeds went to Pattison’s Academy so it was for a really good cause, and it was really fun.
Here is my lovely team of fellow 1st year OT students. We named ourselves the Dodgers. (original, yes?)
Oh yeah, and there was a costume contest too, as you can see from my opponents clever jailbird outfits. Our team didn’t get the memo/we were too busy studying for midterms, but the “cowbunga” team ended up winning for their accurate portrayal of the teenage mutant ninja turtles. It was well deserved. They were painted green and even had nunchucks. We don’t have a picture of them so you’ll have to take my word for it.
Side note: The ninja turtles were the first team we played, and I got one of them out. I was so proud of myself for beating a boy that I fist pumped mid-game.
This is perfect dodgeball form right here.
I’m not sure what is going in this picture, but it looks like Brooke is literally pointing and laughing at me. She’s not though, Brooke is actually one of the nicest girls around. The ribbon in her hair is proof.
Oh, and Jon told me my face/eyes/body stance in this picture is something I do all the time, like it’s classic me or something. What???? It was brand new information.
Action-packed dodgeball!!!!!
We lost to the convicts. BUT we had fun. And we shook hands at the end of the game to show that we’re good sports.
Goooooooo team!!!!
I don’t know why we decided to take such a cheesy team picture.
That night Jon and I went to two weddings: J.J. and Amber’s, Graham and Gabby’s. They are some of our best friends from Jon’s class I can’t wait to post the pictures soon!
Also, this weekend I’m going to Athens, GA to perform at DANCEATHENS 2011! Hooray! My first performance in 5 years! I will be doing some hip-hop, and I’m sorry but there will probably be no pictures/videos of it because Jon will be staying home and taking the camera to Alan and Golden’s wedding. I’m really sad I can’t go with him because they are such good friends, but it’s going to be really awesome to perform! I’m also secretly glad that my first time back on stage I’m not going to know a soul in the audience. It’ll be good practice for Jail Break 2 which will be my first performance in Charleston. Wish me luck!
