Old Slave Market and Waterfront Park with the Fam.
Hooray! My brother Grant, wife Julie, their kids, my dad, and brother Isaac were in town all week! They were able to stay at Jon’s second cousin’s beach house out at Folly, and it was incredible. We had a blast.
The first day we spent downtown on E. Bay and at the old slave market. Here is Sammie checking out some tiny crocodile heads.
Here is Scottie playing around. (Sammie and Scottie are twins).
Dad.
Cooper, Scottie, and Julie at the candy store.
Everett picked out a nice bouquet.
Me and Ev finding all the colors of the tootsie pop.
After we loaded up at the market and at the candy store we headed down to Waterfront Park to see the water, and for some of us, escape the heat.
Everett on the boardwalk. Total doll.
Grant, Julie, and kids are from Washington where it is a bit more temperate year round than hot and humid Charleston.
Needless to say, the kids loooooved cooling down in the fountain.
After awhile we headed over to the pineapple fountain where the kids were able to wade in the water, and even look for coins after a nice stranger threw in a few. Southerners are so friendly.

After the park I took the family to see our house and dropped Jon off at James Island Highschool to teach SAT prep a.k.a. make the big bucks. Did you guys know he’s been doing that? Anyway, there are many pictures to come of our fun family time together! Get ready.
P.S. Isaac was at the market and everything with us too, and we had fun time together even though there aren’t pictures of it in this post.
