Thanksgiving and Charlotte Video.
Here are some short highlights of our weekend.
So a couple things….
-On Friday afternoon we spontaneously decided to drive up to Charlotte, NC because we wanted to do something crazy and fun while we both had a time off. It was only a 3 hour drive, and it was so fun to visit a new city.
-The video makes it look like we ran that stop sign. I promise we didn’t.
-The clip of Jon being interviewed happened in the Ikea parking lot. The news station ambushed us and asked Jon if he could talk about whether he gets scared about our car getting broken into and whether we take precautions to prevent break ins. We joke that he is now famous in Charlotte.
-We spent a lot of time at the Discovery museum. We went to see the mummy exhibit but then all the kiddie science stuff was so fun! I laid on a bed of nails, Jon built a jenga tower taller than him, we saw a rainforest, reptiles, and fishies, etc. Kid’s museums are awesome.
-Sorry about the scary mummy face, I know that came out of nowhere.
-The other museum we visited was The Mint, and it had a lot of cool stuff we didn’t get on film like displays of 19th and 20th century fashion (so fancy!).
-We also ate really good food at Cowfish and Roosters. We didn’t get video or pictures of it, but I highly recommend both restaurants.
